PBIS

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.   It involves establishing clear behavioral expectations, teaching those expectations directly, providing regular positive reinforcement for appropriate behaviors, and using consistent, restorative consequences for challenging behaviors. PBIS also uses data to make informed decisions and often includes family engagement and a multi-tiered approach to support students with varying needs. 

Cascade Elementary is a proud PBIS school! PBIS is an evidence-based tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. PBIS has shown to improve social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate. Cascade uses the word PRIDE as our PBIS expectation.
