Counselor's Message
Welcome Cascade Families!
I am so excited to start my 5th year as your counselor! Some of my roles include:
- Brief 1:1 counseling
- Small group counseling
- Monthly classroom lessons
- Hygiene and food pantries
- Student and family support
- Community outreach
- PBIS rewards/events
Counseling Lessons
I teach each class once per month on the topics of: school readiness, growth mindset, respect, self-esteem, determination, self-control, bullying, healthy habits and career exploration!

You can practice these at home too! Look for these pledges posted throughout our school, and for student awards and incentives to be based on their positive behavior! We love to recognize students who are showing our PRIDE motto for the month or who have shown improvement throughout the year! We positively recognize students in the following ways:

- Student of the Month awards
- Attendance awards
- School raffles
- Leopard Loot
- School store shopping
- Individualized classroom rewards
- Monthly school-wide celebrations
Attendance Incentives
We love to recognize students for their attendance efforts in the following ways:
- School punch card: For each day a student attends on time, they receive (1) punch. When they receive 10 punches, their name is entered into our quarterly raffle drawing. They also receive $10 in Leopard Loot!
- Monthly certificates and pop-up prizes!
- Schoolwide monthly competitions: The class with the highest attendance takes Lucky the Leopard for the month! They also can decide on a free class reward such as a spirit day or extra recess!
